Her stitched up ear! So sad.

The day after Maddie's birthday, she got her earring stuck on her stuffed puppy and pulled the back of her earring through into her earlobe! It was so sad, we had to take her to the hospital and they had to operate on her ear! I felt so bad. They cut it open on the back side, pulled it out, and stitched it back up. It was so so sad. So, here she is sleeping after the whole ordeal is over.

The 4th of July was a hit!

Here is the long awaited and highly anticipated return of my actual blogging! So, now I have to catch up! Sorry! We have been having a great summer and are sad to see it coming to an end. I am going to school online to UVU again after a 5 year break! (Better late than never, right?!) Anyway, Dave is still at the Leader, but is doing some student teaching this fall at McKinley so that he can look into teaching. Maddie is now 3 years old and the Kenzer Benzer is TOO BIG! She is 7 months old now and is so funny. She still doesn't have any teeth, but sits up and scoots on her back to get to things. She's hilarious and so is Maddie. They have become really fast friends. Maddie will jump out and scare Kenzie or throw blankets on her face and Kenzie laughs so hard that it's a deep tummy laugh. So cute. I love being a stay at home mom and I love my girls. Hopefully I will make sure to keep up on the blog so you guys can see how adorable they are too!

PhotoFunia.com

This is one of those silly websites that my dad played with and he sent me some pictures he did of them, so I had to do it! Here's a picture of Kenzie that should be on some building somewhere:

Here's Maddie as a pirate:

Here's the Benzer on the moon:

And, finally: Maddie is obsessed with Star Wars lately, thanks to Dave, so here's a good one to put her face in!

I still haven't updated from July, but that's because DAVE has all the pictures on his computer at work and was supposed to burn a CD for me. So, my lack of blogging now that I have internet is not my fault! :) Ha ha ha, anyway I start school on Wednesday going back to UVU online, so wish me luck and you'll probably see some blog posts when I need a brain break from school work....

Internet, come to me!!

So, we are breaking down since our house hasn't sold and I'm starting school again online in a couple of weeks. We are getting INTERNET again! YAY! So, until I get it next week, here are some updates for you:

Maddie turned 3 on July 8th and had a hilarious pirate theme to her birthday. She is a pretty pirate!!! I still think it's extremely crazy that I'm a mother of a 3 year old. WEIRD. On the 4th of July, I made a pirate ship cake (it was pretty kickin'!) for Maddie and our in-law brother Nate (who had a birthday on the 5th). We celebrated on the 4th with the Archer side. Then, on her actual birthday, Dave had to work (poor guy!) so my mom and I took her, Kenzie, and my two little brothers to the Treehouse museum in Ogden and it was SO much fun! I'm so glad we did. We had a good dinner and a hostess cupcake that night. Then, on the 12th (Dave's 28th birthday, old guy!) we had another party for Dave and Maddie's birthdays with another pirate ship cake. (Gotta tell ya, making a themed cake is so much easier the 2nd time!) Then, my birthday was on the 16th and I turned a ripe old 24. It was a really busy month then with all the birthdays and the 2 holidays, but it sure was fun! I will get pictures up as soon as I've got internet again and am not at my mom's house.... (that's the only time I'm ever on is at my parent's or Dave's parents!) Kenzer the Benzer is getting too too big! She is already in the 98th percentile for her height and it makes me want to cry! I took her swimming at the Brigham City pool with my little brothers and Miss Mads today. I knew she wouldn't fit into the 0-3 month swimming suit she had previously had, so I dug through Maddie's old clothes and found a 12 months one that I thought might work, but knew it would probably be huge. Well, sadly enough, it fit. It fit very well and so did the hat. (I guess it's good her head is in the 99th percentile so she COULD wear the matching hat....) Anyway, overall we are doing great and are excited for the 18th when we can get internet again!
