OKAY, JODI!!!

I saw on my friend's blog that she was saying a lot of her blog friends haven't updated for a while, so here you go Jodi! :) This is Dave with Jared Burnett at his wedding. (I took pictures of their wedding, if you want to see those, go to my photography blog HERE.)

Okay, so I know I haven't blogged about Christmas yet, but this happened on the 5th, so I guess I should do this first! :) We were so excited for the chance to go to a wedding for my photography that I got to take Dave with me! I always am going to weddings, the luncheons, and the receptions by myself since I'm the photographer. But, this time it was Dave's best friend's little brother. (Did you get that?!) Anyway, we love Andrew and Jodi and it was so fun to see them! Here we are at the luncheon at the delicious Tucahno's! I loved it!

How old are you????

I love my child. She is very outspoken, but I do love that about her.

We went to Logan on Friday night to do some last minute shopping and we went to the mall to let her see Santa, which was a very cool thing because she now loves him and doesn't freak out like she used to. (Which, if you were being handed off to a strange looking old man with white hair covering his entire face, you might freak out too.) Anyway, we had previously seen the one at the light parade as well and so she was happy to see him again.

She told him she was a good girl still, what she wanted, and said thank you for the coloring book and candy cane, but was a little quieter than before. As we walked away, she looked up at us and said:

"He changed his voice." I about died! What?! How did you notice that?!
I tried to cover up my shock by saying, "Was that funny? He was doing a different voice!" But, my 3 year old is too smart for me.

"That's not funny to change our voice. I don't like it." Done. She is smarter than me for sure.

Garland Light Parade and Santa

We went to the Garland Light parade on the 12th and I love that they have Santa afterwards for the kids to see. Maddie didn't like the fireworks or the fire trucks that were setting off their sirens, because it was way too noisy! Kenzie would just flinch a little bit and then smile at me. Silly baby. So, here we are, soaking wet and waiting for Santa. I love when Dave has to take pictures of things like this so that we remember to go to these things!

Kenzie wasn't so sure about Santa, so here is a smiling picture of her in the line! She has been cutting all of her top teeth, but she's still been so happy. I don't know how we got blessed with such a good baby!

She was so intent on telling him her list. She was so cute to watch!

Here they are with Santa! I had another picture of Kenzie looking at the camera, but Maddie's face is priceless in this picture! She loved to see Santa this year. She is really understanding it and loved to sit on his lap, which makes it all the more fun for us! :)

Oh Madison...

I've decided after reading other people's posts that I really need to document the crazy things that my child says to me every day. Maddie is quite the character. That is the best way to put it, I think. Here is our conversation the other day:

Maddie: Mommy, why you are doin' that?
Me: I'm painting these.
Maddie: Can I help you?
Me: Um, maybe in a minute.
Maddie: Why you are always telling me to wait a minute?
Me: Because I don't want you to get paint on your pretty clothes.
Maddie: I won't get paint on my clothes. I like my clothes. I can take them off. (I guess it's a good thing she liked her clothes she was wearing at the moment or she might have jumped head first into the painting.)
Me: No, you'll be cold if you take them off.
Maddie: But, I will just be really careful while I paint.
Me: Maybe in a minute.
Maddie: You really just don't trusts me.
Me: (Thinking) No, I don't trust you. And I can't believe you just said that I don't trust you and used it in the right context.

She's getting too big.

Thanksgiving!

We went to my grandma's house in Pocatello for Thanksgiving this year and it was soooo good to see my extended family! It was fun on Wednesday night too because we got to have our own Thanksgiving with my side of the family because Jayson and Kassi were in town. (Sadly I forgot to bring my camera!) Then on Thanksgiving we talked with Jays & Kass for a bit and then headed off to Pocatello, while Jay and Kassi went to Brigham. We got there at about 1:30 and ate pretty much right after. We cleaned up, played some card games, and got to catch up with each other. It was really fun and good to see everyone! Here are some pictures my Aunt Kim took and sent to me. Thanks, Kim!

New Moon Pictures

Okay, so I know this doesn't make sense to have a frog picture at the beginning of this post, but oh well. I had the awesome chance to go to New Moon twice within three days with some of the most fun people I know! I first went with the Archer side of the fam. I went with my momma-in-law Bev, Julie, Jenny, and Heather. I had so SO much fun! We ordered pizza and watched Twilight and then went to the late night showing of New Moon that Saturday after it came out. Then, I went on Monday with my mom, Becky, Rylee, and Kelsey Hodge. We went to eat at the Pizza Factory first and then headed over to see it. It was so much fun, but I was really disappointed with their New Moon displays! Anyway, I know there are WAY too many pictures on here, but it was so much fun! :) Love all you guys, thanks for going with me and keeping me so entertained!
